For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Environmental Protection Agency through the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.

Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium for positions budgeted at 60+ hours per pay period, Accrued Vacation and Sick Leave, Paid Federal Holidays, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available for positions budgeted at 35+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Experience in a professional office setting working with office management, databases, compiling information and dealing with a wide variety of staff and public OR AA Degree in Business Administration, Education or Communications.

  • Good oral and writing skills, computer proficiency, experience in information management. Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint

Duties:

Provide administrative and technical support to managers and staff of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Oil Pollution Act (OPA) Enforcement Programs.

  • General office support; organization and management of electronic files, databases, tracking and management of documents, mailings, document management & filing, proofreading, mail distribution, copying. maintain electronic calendars, appointments, and schedules for RCRA and OPA.   35%
  • Provide research and analysis of reports, overdue responses, communications with owners and operators, and correspondence from EPA staff/ management to operators. Manage and maintain filing systems to include Notification Letters, Tribal Consultation, and Information Request letters. Provide technical information on communications, responses, documents, research, spreadsheets and responses   25%
  • Evaluate, process and conduct follow-up activities based on program staff and supervisory responses and input to above topics/issues/tasks. Maintain and recommend solutions from report analysis and database activity for Program, based on program staff and supervisory responses in support of program activities. Prepare, monitor and track travel and program funds using various spreadsheets.   20%
  • Assist with special projects as needed such as creating presentations and schedules, generating reports and data analysis. Review and make recommendations to Standard Operating Procedures or other technical/procedural documents   20%
