About Fiesta Schoolyards
Fiesta Schoolyards is an initiative of the Lindy Foundation that revitalizes Philadelphia schoolyards into vibrant, colorful community spaces. Our fast-moving, mission-driven team is on track to complete 100 schoolyard and public park renovations in 10 years. Each project involves careful planning and collaboration with schools, contractors, and city officials and we need strong support to keep things moving.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Part-Time Program Support Assistant to work directly with our team to help move transformation projects forward. This is a hands-on and a vital support-based role. This position is Hybrid requiring one day per week (Thursday) in the Jenkintown office.

Key Responsibilities
The Program Support Assistant will provide broad-based support to ensure the smooth and successful operation of our schoolyard and park transformation projects. This supports role is ideal for someone who is organized, highly adaptable, and mission-driven. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Coordination Support
- Assist the team in managing project aspects from inception to completion.
Administrative Support
- Provide general assistance with document preparation, file organization, and project data tracking. Also assist with grant narratives and research.
Logistics & Event Support
- Support program logistics and execution of events, such as ribbon cuttings, and volunteer days.
On-the-Ground Support
- Be available for various in-the-field needs on specific tasks.
Flexible Support
- Provide support to assist leadership and programming needs as they arise, demonstrating adaptability to effectively respond to emerging needs and challenges. The ability to anticipate and address needs promptly is essential for ensuring smooth operations.
Requirements
- 1+ year of support for non-profit, education, or public sector projects.
- Based in Philadelphia.
- Must have reliable transportation for local travel to school sites when needed.
- Available to work on-site at the Jenkintown office one day per week (Thursdays).
Compensation & Schedule
- $20/hourly; max 20 hours per week
- Hours: Monday and Wednesday: 9:00 am -1:30 PM, Tuesday and Thurs: 9:00 AM-3:30 PM (Thursday in-office)
**Note the above hours include a mandatory 30-minute unpaid lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays
