This individual contributor position provides foundational Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) support across assigned operations. The role assists in a broad range of EHS matters, including program support, training coordination, reporting, recordkeeping, communication, and day-to-day implementation of site EHS activities. This position is intended for someone with a foundational EHS skill set and practical understanding of workplace health and safety requirements; a technical degree is not required. The incumbent must demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, while supporting EHS priorities under the direction of an operations leader. The role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with employees and leaders, and appropriately handle confidential information.
Essential Functions:
• This position reports to an operations leader and supports local EHS priorities in alignment with company expectations and applicable regulatory requirements
• Assist in the administration of PPE tracking and distribution to help ensure employees have access to required safety equipment
• Support day-to-day EHS activities, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, preparing communications, and assisting with documentation and reporting
• Compile and distribute EHS reports, including injury and incident information, using EHS information management systems as needed
• Track and maintain employee training records in learning management systems and support coordination of required safety training
• Coordinate and support routine health and safety meetings for the assigned operation or site
• Assist in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of health and safety training and awareness materials
• Support updates to EHS procedures, policies, forms, and training materials as directed
• Promote a positive health and safety culture through consistent support, communication, and follow-through on EHS initiatives
• Assist employees and leaders with general EHS questions, forms, and processes within the scope of the role
