Waste Program Support - Administrative/Business

ProSidian Seeks a Waste Program Support - Administrative/Business (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 21040) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements.

The Waste Program Support Specialist BU 107 as a Professional Grade position.

Waste Program Support - Administrative/Business Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

Prepare technical specs, statements of work and business case documentation for cost savings initiatives.

Assist in assessments for waste compliance validation and implementation. Support waste shipments to include weighing, surveying, and manifesting efforts. Run the scheduling process for LWO waste shipments.

Perform oversight for the RAD laundry PPE and its associated procurement activities. Assist the effort to issue new contracts for clean waste hauling activities.

Work with the Waste Program Manager on out sourcing options for the current waste disposition process including development of technical specifications and transition plans for contracting.

Interface with the procedure writers, IH, Rad Con, Safety, and operations, for waste manual revisions.

Perform GCO activities to improve the Waste Minimization Process. Review DOT requirements for Site waste hauling activities.

Ship Haz/Mix waste on and off site.

Qualifications

The Waste Program Support - Administrative/Business shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Waste Program Support s working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) Associates Degree or 3-5 years' experience in nuclear waste related activities. Experience: 3-5 years in waste type activities. Knowledge of waste packaging and the regulatory requirements necessary to characterize/ship waste.

Have GCO (Generator Certification Official), experience. Familiar with the requirements for off-site shipments. A 40 hour work week working, Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per day. Each work day has a 30 minute lunch. Standard Facilities Access required but a security clearance is not currently required for this position

U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen

Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
