POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrative Assistant in Student Life provides essentialadministrative and operational support that enables the effective delivery ofstudent services and programs across the division. This position serves as acentral point of coordination for office operations specifically within theCenter for Student Involvement, including scheduling, communication, recordsmanagement, and support for divisional initiatives. By interacting regularlywith students, faculty, staff, and external partners, the AdministrativeAssistant helps ensure a welcoming, organized, and studentcentered environment that advances themission of the division and the University.
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative & Office Operations: Provides comprehensiveadministrative support to ensure efficient daily operations of Student Lifeoffices. Responsibilities include scheduling, correspondence, documentpreparation, records management, file retention, and logistical coordinationfor meetings, travel, and events. Exercises independent judgment and discretionin handling confidential/timesensitivematters.
Coordination, Events & Program Support:Assists with planning and execution of meetings, events, and studentactivities, including logistics, space scheduling, materials preparation, andfollowup. Providesdirection and operational support to students/parent/staff as assigned.
Financial, Data, & Resource Management:Processes financial and student transactions such as purchase orders, expensereports, billing, deposits, student time entry, and budget keeping. 
Monitorssupply inventory and budget activity. Runs reports, conducts basic studentqueries, and prepares information for analysis using Cognos, Banner, or anyrelated systems.
Technology, Systems & Compliance Support:Utilizes and maintains proficiency with university technology systems andstandard office software to support divisional operations. Including, but notlimited to, Banner, Campus Link, Maxient, Starfish, Microsoft Office, Zoom,Unimarket.
Departmentspecific tasks: Performs additional responsibilities unique to the assignedStudent Life department, ranging from supporting processes such as studentconduct case management, housing operations, event coordination, wellnessinitiatives, or career fairs, etc. to ensure the designated office'sspecialized programs and services run effectively.
Completes otherduties as assigned.
