Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Assistant for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Administration, the Program Assistant provides administrative, financial and program support for the department. Responsible for the timely completion and efficient flow of required documentation for both administrative, clinical, and research assistance functions needed in the department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Assists with day-to-day office responsibilities for the department.
  • Provides administrative support to the department including correspondence, ordering supplies, scheduling/planning meetings, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Maintains faculty calendars as assigned (student clinical rotations, OR shadowing, meetings, interviews w/ physicians and APP candidates, meetings with vendor reps).
  • Provides administrative support to the faculty.
  • Processes reimbursements for faculty and staff.
  • Processes payments, POs and check requests as well as manage open POs.
  • Supports onboarding and offboarding of staff (email accounts, building access, parking pass, ID, computers).
