The District Health Sciences Pathway Program Supervisor
leads, coordinates, and oversees the district's health services and career pathway programs, ensuring alignment with state requirements, industry standards, and community needs. This role manages all aspects of the Dual Credit CNA and Early College Health Sciences initiatives from curriculum development, postsecondary and clinical partner outreach, and regulatory compliance to instructor onboarding, master scheduling, and student certification processes. Serving as a liaison between district leadership, school health staff, postsecondary partners, and local healthcare agencies, the Coordinator drives continuous program growth, supports staff and student wellness, and ensures equitable access and success for all students. This position works closely with the Director of Curriculum and Equitable Practices to support and maintain district career pathways in health sciences.

Essential Functions
- Assists the Early College Program Supervisor in coordinating, planning, and implementing the dual credit CNA program with postsecondary partners and district CNA course instructors.
- Ensures students complete state testing/competency exams and dual credit processes.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal health requirements, including instructor credential status.
- Provides support and develops recommendations for effective operations of the Health Sciences Pathway, including Clinical Instructor staffing, subbing, and coverage.
- Coordinates professional development and mandated training for program staff.
- Facilitates opportunities and partnerships with community agencies that benefit the health and wellness of all students and staff.
- Provides ongoing communication to the Director of Curriculum and Equitable Practices on best practices for supporting students and staff in the health sciences pathway.
- Maintains a system for coordinating placement of college and university partners for clinical experiences.
- Coordinates summer school student health pathway needs.
- Coordinates the summer instructor planning meeting prior to school year.
- Curates the weekend clinical instructor pool and ensures training status for the team.
- Secures out-of-district contracts for clinical instructors.
- Secures student placements and schedules.
- Creates a master schedule for Clinical Instructors.
- Completes daily and final evaluations.
- Remains on-call and completes rescheduling (as needed) for clinical supervisors at student work sites.
- Maintains proactive communication with students and families regarding program requirements and clinical placement logistics.
- Facilitates the completion of student drug screening, flu vaccines, TB tests, and BLS CPR certification.
- Maintains accurate CNA HealthCare Worker Registry Forms.
- Coordinates fingerprinting for students in accordance with state requirements.
- Facilitates the growth of the program.
- Coordinates equipment, maintains records, and processes program-related invoices.
- Coordinates the monthly clinical schedule, including instructor and student placements.
- Offers input on budgeting, anticipated and current costs, and supply needs per instructor requests.
- Assists with required classroom labs in each building as needed.
- Secures bus times with the transportation department for all buildings.
- Monitors the program as required for clinical compliance.
- Plans and implements CNA Health Days for all 6 buildings.
- Develops and maintains local industry partnerships.
- Attends Harper College meetings for program updates and planning.
- Serves as District health and school nursing substitute, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
- Illinois Department of Public Health Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
- CPR Instructor Certification preferred, or willing to attain certification
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

- Promote Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between district administration, building-level health staff, postsecondary partners, transportation, and local healthcare agencies. Cultivate community partnership to deliver cohesive student experiences.
