Job Title

The WBLAS Nutrition Services Department is looking for positive and energetic people who love children, are flexible, are good team players, and are willing to learn new skills in a fun and fast-paced environment. No experience needed!

Job Description

Hours: 3 hours/day, approximately 10:15 am - 1:30 pm, including a 15 minutes break Wage: Starting at $20.78 per hour with possible per hour increases as described below. Additional $0.80 per hour pay increase with School Nutrition Association Level 3 Certification Additional $1.05 per hour pay increase with School Nutrition Association Level 4 Certification Start Date: As soon as possible Location: Lakeaires Elementary School, Grades K - 5 Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The mission of WBLAS Nutrition Services, an exceptional team vital to our district dedicated to the nutritional needs of our students, is to ensure nutritionally enticing meals in a safe and welcoming environment that acknowledges and values each student through a system distinguished by: A student-driven menu Sustainable and locally sourced foods Innovative equipment and technology Knowledgeable staff; and Students with life-long healthy eating habits

Essential Functions

Fast-paced environment working to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and snacks in accordance with the menu Stock vending machines Set up serving line, condiments, utensils, etc. Serve students and run point of sale register during meal service Clean and maintain the kitchen, operate the dish machine Demonstrate excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public Position may float on a case-by-case basis to help with staff coverage at other locations throughout the district Perform other duties as assigned

Food Safety

The Nutrition Services team values high standards, attention to detail, and the health and well-being of our students Food safety is our most important priority; ensuring that every meal is served safe, wholesome and with care All employees are required to take a sanitation course upon hire and at least every 3 years Uniform guidelines include: No jewelry or fake eyelashes No false nails or nail polish Non-slip, leather shoes Black pants, no denim or leggings WBLAS Nutrition Services uniform tops Pro-rated uniform allowance of up to $200 annually
