Overview:

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Manager to join our team on site in Fort Belvoir, VA to support our government customer. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall delivery of an application development program supporting the operation, maintenance, and modification of the ARIMS family of applications.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Act as the primary on-site interface with Government Site authorities and representatives on program/project and contract administration issues.
  • Develop and implement management procedures and controls to supervise program/project operations effectively.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor project execution, ensuring timely progress and adherence to set standards and specifications.
  • Monitor project status and schedule to proactively identify potential shortfalls and develop corrective action plans.
  • Manage the acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
  • Control financial and administrative aspects of the program/project concerning contract requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts of technical support staff in the execution of assigned projects, to include project tracking and analysis.
  • Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to address complex problems within projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Army software environment standards, including proficiency in Microsoft SQL and .NET framework.
  • Deliver progress report updates and ensure specific project deliverables and contractual commitments are met.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or postgraduate degree in engineering, scientific, technical, or business management disciplines from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 15 years of management and supervisory experience in relevant fields, particularly in Army Records Management or similar government contracting programs/projects.
  • An active in scope Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience managing IT programs with employees working across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of the Army's software environment including Microsoft SQL and the .NET framework
  • Ability to solve complex problems using advanced principles and theories.
  • Skill in coordinating and motivating technical support staff.
  • Strong organizational and administrative management capabilities.
  • Commitment to meeting contractual commitments and delivering high-quality project outcomes.
  • Must possess baseline and computing environment certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, or SSCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or certifications in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Extensive experience in managing IT projects within a government contracting environment.
  • Experience with GOTS applications such as ARMIS, AAO, ACOTD, FACTS, MDR, or ADAMS.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective liaison with government representatives.
Additional Information

Work Environment:

  • Normal office conditions.
  • Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 - 1700.
  • On government site within Fort Belvoir, VA.
  • Compensation: $160K - $180K yearly.
