Job description

The IT Portfolio Manager will own the IT portfolio of investments and the portfolio management capability. This role will provide governance and oversight of IT projects to ensure goals are accomplished on time, and within scope and budget in alignment with the IT roadmap strategy. Provides strategic direction for the process, methodology, tool, demand intake and reporting/scorecarding within the portfolio. Utilizes servant leadership to an agile team by educating and coaching team members and stakeholders to maximize efficiencies, delivering incremental customer value, and embracing continuous improvement. This position will be part of the Information Technology team.

  • Champions strong IT governance in the project management framework and mentors project managers in its

  • Implement and core administrator of the Project Portfolio Management software
  • Create project process for consistency and alignment across business units.
  • Facilitate  and maintain collaborative relationships with IT leaders, business partners and key stakeholders ensuring
  • engagement early in the project life cycle.  Key voice to the business on the application, roadmap initiatives, change
  • management, annual initiative & project pipeline planning decisions, and escalation point for the business

  • Lead, coach and develop team of highly skilled and diverse IT Project Managers

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years experience in portfolio and/or business technology management experience
  • 5+ years' work experience leading a team using agile practices.
  • PMP and Agile/Scrum certifications preferred
  • Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Embrace a growth mindset and Servant Leadership mentality
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement, encourage collaboration and communicate effectively (written and verbal) across multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing work demands and multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Preference for work experience in a manufacturing environment delivering ERP, MES, or product development systems.
