About the role
The Operations Intern supports the property management team in the day-to-day operations of a residential community. This role provides hands-on experience in property operations, resident relations, leasing support, financial processes, and site management. The intern will work closely with the Property Manager and Operations team while gaining exposure to leadership responsibilities, property inspections, and basic maintenance coordination.
The Operations Intern will report to Rosanne Lederman, VP of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Property Operations Support
  • Assist the Property Manager in overseeing daily property operations and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct routine property walks and site inspections; document observations and communicate service or safety concerns.
  • Participate in site visits with leadership team members to better understand operational standards and property expectations.

Resident Relations & Client Service
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident questions, concerns, and service requests.
  • Assist with resident events, community functions, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with the leasing process

Financial & Administrative Support
  • Help prepare reports, resident communications, move-out documentation, and operational records.
  • Apply sound financial and organizational practices while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Maintenance & Site Support
  • Support the maintenance team by reporting service needs and monitoring property conditions.
  • Assist with light operational and very basic maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
  • Help maintain property cleanliness by picking up litter and identifying areas needing attention.

Qualifications
  • Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in: Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance or Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Construction Management or Related field
