Have knowledge and understanding of Ser Familia's various programs.
Help Ser Familia's Chief Programs Officer to plan and coordinate the development, implementation, and execution of programs, special projects, and other initiatives designed to achieve the overall mission, goals, and objectives of the organization.
Support the Chief Programs Officer in the overseeing and administration of the day-to-day operations of the various programs and activities related to the organization's mission.
Create, produce, and deliver a range of promotional, educational, and informational presentations, and/or resource materials related to program activities and initiatives.
Help in the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; develop, write, edit, and present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations.
Advise on operating goals and objectives for the program; identify opportunities to enhance program operations in order to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness and to fulfill programs objectives.
As appropriate, work within the community to promote all applicable programs. This could include various forms of media, community events, trainings, public speaking and engagement and communication with families.
Develop and maintain positive rapport with the organization's clients.
Coordinate volunteers for various programs.
Maintain a working knowledge of services available to Latino families in Ser Familia's service area.
Perform clients' intakes, assessments and orientations as needed.
Deliver organization's programs as needed after obtaining required training and certification.
Attend and actively participate on different workshops as a backup for the main presenter.
Attend and collaborate on the preparation and execution of different services and After Hours Courses and workshops provided to the community through the C.A.F.E Program such as: Music, Computer amp; English Lessons, Seniors Program, Health Fairs etc.
Ability to be detail oriented and implement changes timely and accurately.
Ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
Dependable and can be relied upon to perform a task in the way required to complete the assigned job duties and responsibilities.
Able to solve problems using logic, judgment and data to determine effective solutions
Understand clients' unique needs and requirements and recommend new programs or changes as needed.
Attend educational workshops, conferences and trainings for professional development and career growth.
Obtain client feedback and recommend appropriate program improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Communications, or related field.
- 3-5 years or relevant experience working in a non-profit organization and/or volunteer management,
- 3-5 Experience providing workshops or group trainings .
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
- Proficient computer and presentation skills
- Willing to work extended hours.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Advanced computer knowledge including MS Office
- Fully Bilingual; Spanish amp; English (Verbal and Written)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to commute to all Ser Familia's locations as needed.
- Working hours: Mon- Thus 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM Fri - 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
