Job description

Reports to: Director of Paid Social

Location: Durham, NC, In Person

Type: Full-time

How to Apply

In that same email, answer one question: of the five platforms listed above, which one have you never bought on, and how would you get up to speed on it in your first month?

We use AI heavily here and we expect you to. For this application, we want your own words.

About Carpe

Carpe is the fastest-growing deodorant brand in the US. Our team is made up of ~30 incredibly smart people who care about the work, building together in person in downtown Durham, NC. The office is open, with plenty of quiet niches when you need to focus, and the energy is high.

We build products that work. That means solving real problems for consumers and delivering consistent, high-performance products at scale.

We hire people who want to get very good at one thing and keep getting better.

The Role

We are hiring a Performance Marketing Analyst to be the execution and quality-control backbone of our paid media program. You will work directly under our Director of Paid Social, supporting media buying across paid social and beyond, including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and AppLovin.

This is an extreme-ownership, high-execution role. We run a high volume of creative across many surfaces, and it is critical that every asset is built correctly, launched on time, properly named, and checked before applying any spend to it. That is your job. You are the person who catches the thing everyone else missed and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.

You and the Director of Paid Social are the two people touching the spend. Everything you do shows up in the numbers, fast. Do this well, and you will not stay junior for long.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Campaign Build & Launch
  • Build and launch campaigns, ad sets, and ads to spec, on schedule, without errors
  • Upload and organize creative assets; confirm every asset meets platform specs and aspect ratios before it goes live
  • Own naming conventions, UTM parameters, and campaign taxonomy so downstream reporting stays clean

Quality Control & Maintenance

  • Run pre-launch QA on every campaign: targeting, budgets, bid strategy, placements, landing pages, tracking, creative-to-copy match
  • Check live campaigns daily for pacing issues, delivery gaps, disapprovals, broken links, and unintended learning-phase resets
  • Maintain the creative asset library and launch tracker so anyone can find what shipped, when, and where
  • Keep the operational cadence running: launch checklists, testing calendars, standing hygiene tasks

Reporting & Team Support

  • Pull and format daily and weekly performance reporting; keep dashboards accurate and current
  • Flag outliers with context, not just numbers โ€” "this adโ€™s CPM doubled overnight, here is what changed"
  • Partner with the Creative Team to ensure that new concepts arrive in the right formats and aspect ratios the first time
  • Take the recurring, detail-heavy work off the Directorโ€™s plate so the Director can stay on strategy

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Relentless attention to detail. This is the single most important trait for this role. You double-check by default, you build your own checklists, and you catch errors before anyone else.
  • Execution speed. You close loops fast and do not need to be chased. Volume does not rattle you.
  • Spreadsheet competence. Pivots, lookups, basic formula work. You do not need to be a modeler. You do need to not break a report.
  • Extreme Ownership & Organization. There are a lot of moving parts and you will work to stay on top of all channels, ensuring nothing slips through.
  • You love DATA. Math comes naturally to you.
  • Pattern recognition. You see things in a large data set that other people miss.
  • Clear written communication. Most of this job happens in Slack and in shared docs, asynchronously.

Nice to Have

  • 1-3 years hands-on in paid media or paid social
  • Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager
  • Exposure to attribution or MTA platforms (Northbeam, Triple Whale, or similar)
  • Experience with creative analytics tools
  • International or multi-market campaign experience
  • Comfort using AI tools to compress repetitive work, we expect people to use them
