Job Summary
The Program Managers is responsible for planning and managing programs to attain cost, schedule, and performance goals. They will interface with customers, both internal and external, to communicate requirements and ensure all parties are aligned and working together toward the program’s objectives. This role will lead a $50+ million-dollar program within a high‑volume defense manufacturing environment, providing oversight to 4–5 subcontractors, and applying strong Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Manage the cost, schedule and requirements of assigned programs.
  • Responsible for P amp;L performance of program.
  • Manage program lifecycle: development, engineering, manufacturing amp; end-of-life.
  • Manage customer relationships.
  • Negotiate key issues with the customer, both financial and program based.
  • Working knowledge of risk/opportunity management and defense contract types
  • Identify growth opportunities within current programs.
  • Develop bid strategy and coordinate bid efforts.
  • Expertise in creating, analyzing data and performance metrics to support program decisions
  • Analyze financial information relative to bids and program progress.
  • Support business development in customer pursuit and lead generation.
  • Prepare and supply information for annual sales plans and budgets.
  • Travel to support customer and program meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience amp; License or Certification
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business, Project Management, or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience managing government programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing international programs.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience is required.

Skills and Abilities
  • Must possess or be able to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the Defense acquisition and budget process.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, when required.
