Summary of Job Duties:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Coordinator at UAMS's Northeast Campus in Jonesboro, AR. This position provides administrative and operational support for a mature, long-standing Family Medicine Residency Program. The GME Program Coordinator will work closely with the program director to ensure compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) standards and program-specific requirements and with the GME office on institutional compliance and operational support. The coordinator will also serve as a liaison between trainees, faculty, staff, hospital administration, and external departments.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working with confidential information in a fast-paced academic clinical environment.If you are passionate about medical education and ready to make a difference, we encourage you to apply today.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, education, general liberal arts, or related field plus three (3) years of project management or office coordination experience.
OR
- High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of project management or office coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Graduation Medical Education field.

Additional Information:
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate resident, faculty, clinic, call, conference, inpatient, and rotation schedules; communicate schedule changes promptly to all affected stakeholders.
- Support resident onboarding, contracts, licensure, credentialing, training verification, evaluations, graduation, and transition-to-practice activities.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential resident and program records.
- Assist the Program Director with ACGME compliance, accreditation readiness, annual reporting, self-studies, site visits, Program Evaluation Committee activities, and continuous quality-improvement efforts.
- Coordinate resident evaluations, faculty evaluations, milestone documentation, work-hour monitoring, conference attendance, procedure logs, and other required educational data.
- Organize resident orientation, conferences, faculty meetings, educational events, and graduation activities.
- Manage administrative aspects of residency recruitment, including ERAS application processing, applicant communication, interview scheduling, selection committee support, NRMP rank-list preparation, and Match Week activities.
- Maintain data in relevant systems, including New Innovations, ACGME WebADS, ERAS, NRMP, GME Track, AAFP, ABFM, AMA FREIDA, and other required platforms.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting materials, and program communications.
- Coordinate Family Medicine clerkship students and visiting medical students, as assigned.
- Update program policies, handbooks, recruitment materials, website content, and other program resources.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Residency Program Director or GME leadership.
- Works with other Administrators, Little Rock offices, and other Regional Programs to provide and exchange information as needed.
- Maintains timely template changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
