Job Title:  After School Program Site Assistant

 

General Definition of Work

 

The Community School Site Assistant  will specialize in assisting the Community School Coordinator to enhance youth and family academic and enrichment programs. The Community School Site Assistant will represent FPS in a positive manner and support the design of cross-functional strategies in the areas of Student-Centered Learning and Family Engagement. Work is performed under the supervision of the Community School Coordinators.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Functions

 
  • Interacts with students and families to enhance and support the student's education and enrichment experience and ensure success

     
    • Collects and maintains relevant data daily

    • Upholds data privacy and security

    • Speaks directly with parents and students

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of school-age activities

  • Provides support to Community School staff

  • Attends community events/festivals/meetings/workshops facilitated by schools and community organizations that help drive student interest and achievement

  • Works daily hours that complement out-of-school-time programming

 

Other Requirements

 
  • Experience and interest in working with youth in an enrichment, after school program, school age care context, or other related area

  • Proficient in Google Suite

  • Willingness to work after school and evenings and some weekends

  • Must adhere to performance guidelines

  • Other duties as assigned
