Program Assistant - Recess Aide (Crossing Guard)

1 hour per day, 8:40-9:10am and 3:30-4:00pm

Qualifications
  • High School Graduate
  • Current CPR Certification or willing to obtain CPR certificate
  • Evidence of skills with behavior management
  • Demonstrates dependability and promptness
  • Understanding, patient, warm and receptive attitude toward children
  • Ability to assume responsibility for supervising students
  • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public with the understanding that confidentiality should be exhibited
  • Ability to work outside during all seasons
  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, etc for 2+ consecutive hours

Cedar Springs Public Schools is a Preschool through 12th-grade public school consisting of over 3,500 students and nearly 400 employees. We are located within the city limits of Cedar Springs, Michigan in Kent County. Cedar Springs Public Schools is one of 20 member public school districts within the Kent Intermediate School District (KISD). We are unique in that our schools are all located within a single campus setting with the exception of the Middle School which is located 1 mile south of the main campus. The setting is secure, picturesque, and allows easy access for families participating in activities for more than one child.
