Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

Content & Business Products (CBP) Overview:

The Content & Business Products (CBP) teams are fundamental to Netflix's mission to entertain the world. This organization is responsible for building the products and services that optimize and automate the entire content creation lifecycle, from initial concept and financial planning to global launch and promotion.

CBP is the engine behind "pitch to play," enabling our teams to create, manage, and distribute content at scale. In addition, we build and maintain critical enterprise products that ensure efficient operations across key internal departments, including Finance, Talent, and Customer Support.

The Team - Enterprise Engineering

By deploying world-class solutions across business functions and seamlessly integrating critical data streams, we empower our business units to scale efficiently, mitigate risks, and enhance decision-making to deliver a thrilling member experience. Our guiding principle is to champion a "Connected Enterprise"-where integrated data and workflows replace isolated point solutions.

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Program Manager with high agency and a strong sense of ownership to lead high-impact, cross-functional programs. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams, as well as stakeholders across Finance, Talent, Legal, and Customer Support. Partnering with fellow TPMs and senior leadership, you will execute, track, and deliver strategic initiatives that drive significant business value.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of programs from inception to delivery, proactively driving progress with a high agency mindset.

  • Lead multiple cross-functional programs, in collaboration with product, engineering, design, and data science, that deliver technical solutions.

  • Drive engagement with cross-functional partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with measurable milestones, effectively optimize scope and schedule, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively identify and manage risks.

  • Craft clear, concise communication regarding progress toward goals, reporting status and insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • Provide domain expertise to form technical strategies with engineering partners.

  • Scope and lead the execution of Generative AI/ML initiatives, working with engineering and data science partners to identify high-value use cases and productionize new AI platform capabilities.

  • Apply strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to devise sound technical approaches to abstract goals.

  • Identify the systems involved to build new solutions, align roadmaps, and weigh relative priorities.

  • Build strong relationships and rally the team with high emotional intelligence and exceptional listening skills.

  • Operate independently, challenge the status quo, and always play for the larger team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of technical program management experience

  • Proven experience driving large-scale software projects, managing the definition of technical strategies, and building long-term scalable solutions

  • Highly skilled, experienced, and enjoys orchestrating multiple programs with many moving parts and creating partnerships with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to identify solution gaps, debate technical approaches, and influence product vs. technology tradeoffs.

  • Deep understanding and point of view on the application of agentic capabilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience

  • As comfortable speaking technically as non-technically and able to bridge between the two.

  • Detail-oriented, can identify what's missing in planning and execution of software development, testing, and launch.

  • Exemplify the Netflix culture by understanding, advocating, and demonstrating its values.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.
