Job description

BAE Systems is seeking a high-caliber IT Program Manager to spearhead the design, implementation, and orchestration of a sophisticated Digital Engineering (DE) ecosystem. This is not merely an IT deployment; it is the creation of a highly secure, integrated environment that enables collaborative, model-based engineering for a key government customer.
The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of devsecops engineers, IT systems engineers, solutions architect, and security professionals to deliver an enterprise computing infrastructure encompassing end-point devices, cloud services, virtualized applications, and high-performance storage. You will drive the delivery of modern application technology, including virtual desktops, containerized solutions and orchestrated workflows, ensuring the ecosystem is resilient, scalable, and fully compliant with stringent classified security mandates. This is a high-profile leadership role requiring a balance of technical vision and rigorous program execution meeting milestone deliverables.
As an IT Program Manager, you will:
  • Lead Ecosystem Architecture: Direct the technical team in developing the architectural blueprint for a next-generation digital engineering platform, ensuring strict adherence to scalability, modularity, and resilience standards.
  • Drive Secure Delivery: Lead by example, guiding a team of professionals through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure "hands-on-keyboard" delivery meets mission-critical requirements through engineering rigor.
  • Orchestrate Interoperability: Define and implement advanced integration patterns and APIs that enable seamless, secure data exchange between platform services and third-party engineering tools.
  • Champion DevSecOps: Establish and execute best-in-class cloud-native development practices, leveraging Kubernetes, Terraform, and automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate capability delivery.
  • Command Security Compliance: Lead a dedicated team of ISSEs and ISSOs to navigate the Risk Management Framework (RMF), proactively manage POA&Ms, and secure/maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO) within a classified environment.
  • Mitigate Technical Risk: Lead architecture reviews to identify systemic risks and propose innovative mitigation strategies that do not compromise security or performance.

XYZ

  • 10+ years of experience managing high-performing technical teams to deliver complex capabilities in classified environments.
  • 3+ years of direct experience leading and delivering capabilities in support of an Intelligence Community (IC) customer
  • Digital Engineering Proficiency: Proven track record leading the security, architecture, and program execution for large-scale digital engineering capabilities in cloud-based environments.
  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated experience leading all phases of planning and execution for multi-domain, cloud-based enterprise systems designed for collaborative engineering
