Job description

This is an independent contractor, compensation is room and board, plus a $1,000 monthly stipend.

Duties: Responsible for ensuring compliance with program rules in the Men's Recovery Residence Facility; Coordinate all paperwork associated with the recovery residence program, i.e., sign-in/out log, etc.; Review required paperwork with new residents; Prepare and submit purchase requests necessary for the operation of the facility; Coordinate weekly resident meetings with all participants living in the facility; Meet with the Program Manager/Director on a weekly basis; Ensure that the facility is maintained in a neat and clean manner; Assist with the collection of data necessary for the project; Responsible for facility compliance with health, fire and other regulatory standards; Ensure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare California are carried out in the recovery residence program.

Requirements:

  • Reside at the Facility during the Term of the Agreement and provide security and maintenance for the Facility during the hours of 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 am Monday through Friday and weekends (Weekend hours may vary according to the needs of the program);
  • Use of the premises shall be for Tenant (House Manager) exclusively. Tenant shall not allow any other person to use or occupy the premises without first obtaining written consent to such use.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with program residents.
  • Monitor the facility and notify Operations Director in a timely manner in case of emergency relating to program participants, including illegal activity, violence, failure to observe rules and medical emergencies.
  • Call law enforcement or emergency response as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Performs other duties relating to facility support as assigned as needed
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Must have the ability to identify those under the influence of drugs/alcohol and be drug and alcohol free;
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and treatment is required;
  • Must be in possession of a valid Class C Driver's License and be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for WestCare vehicle insurance.
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality
  • Ability to pass criminal history background screening;
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, an annual TB test is required.
