This opportunity is for a Senior Material Program Manager (MPM) within the Global Army & Navy portfolio, Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) Solutions business unit. In this highly visible role, you will bridge the Supply Chain and Program teams, managing materials provided by suppliers within the Global Army & Navy business unit. The MPM is responsible for shaping, developing, and executing the strategies and objectives of the product line to meet cost, quality, and scheduled targets for the program and business unit, ensuring that products are delivered on time to the end customer.
Our supplier network spans small to large businesses, IOT (Interorganizational) partners, and major subcontractors that manufacture high-level assemblies, a range of commodities, and materials varying in complexity. You will collaborate, influence, and frequently communicate with Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, various departments within the Factory organization, Contracts, Customers, and other support functions to ensure rapidly shifting production requirements, material challenges, and competing priorities are successfully managed.
What You Will Do
  • Work closely with program and partnering functions to ensure successful supplier management and execution in support of program needs and requirements
  • Provide status by preparing and presenting slides and files during team tag-ups, daily/weekly program meetings, and monthly program & customer reviews
  • Participate in weekly supplier engagements to ensure required performance is met
  • Maintain and assess the integrity of the MRP environment and the programs' schedule within that environment while balancing supply and demand to allow for an executable schedule
  • Overall ownership of the supplier and finance management process (i.e., Risk/Opportunity, Line of Balance, Metrics, Material sales forecasts)
  • Assist procurement with supplier Request for Proposals / Quotes (RFP's / RFQ's)
  • Proactively address and complete urgent supply chain tasking (Purchase Requisitions integrity, Single/Sole Source Justifications, Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW), Purchase Order follow up
  • Provide pertinent information to procurement in order to expedite ordering and receipt of parts to ensure continuous production
  • Communicate program status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders, including Raytheon senior management, customers, and suppliers
  • Travel domestically to suppliers and needed

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Minimum 6 years experience in a supply chain role and/or program/project management
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with suppliers
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Supply chain experience in the defense industry
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager for Material Estimate at Complete (EACs) and Material Forecasting
  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning tools (i.e. SAP, Power Bi, Kinaxis RapidResponse)
  • Experience using and creating pivot tables in Microsoft Excel

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
