Role Overview
The Senior Technical Project Manager/Program Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-visibility projects and programs from initiation through implementation and post-project assessment. This role oversees large-scale initiatives, often exceeding $2.5M in budget, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives while delivering results within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. The individual serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, manages project teams, drives governance and reporting, mitigates risks, and ensures successful execution across multiple business units, channels, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Complex Projects and Strategic Initiatives (multiple projects under portfolio)
  • Manage large-scale projects or portfolios from concept through implementation and post-launch review.
  • Ensure project objectives, timelines, budgets, and business outcomes are achieved.

Drive Program Governance and Strategic Planning
  • Develop project strategies, governance frameworks, processes, standards, and execution plans.
  • Align project deliverables with organizational goals and strategic objectives.

Manage Resources, Budgets, and Risk
  • Oversee project budgets, resource allocation, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues; implement mitigation and contingency plans.

Lead Cross-Functional Teams and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Assign priorities, direct project execution, facilitate decision-making, and resolve escalations.

Monitor Performance and Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Track project progress using KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Analyze outcomes, forecast future trends, recommend process improvements, and mentor project team members.
Required Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 6-8+ years of experience leading complex projects and programs
  • Expertise in project lifecycle management (initiation through closure)
  • Portfolio and program management experience
  • Scope, schedule, budget, and resource management
  • Risk, issue, dependency, and change management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and project resources
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Business case development and decision-making support
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • Data-driven reporting, forecasting, and trend analysis
  • Budget planning, forecasting, and financial oversight
  • Resource capacity planning
  • Vendor and contract management experience preferred
  • Experience managing projects exceeding $2.5M budgets

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
