Lanteris Space is seeking a Sr. Manager of Program Management to join the Lanteris Program Management Office (PMO) team for on-site leadership role in Palo Alto, CA. In this role you will lead or assist all aspects of assigned satellite programs including being the single point accountable person for large proposal efforts (Advanced Program Manager) as well as continuing to lead all aspects of program performance, post-award, through program completion (Program Manager). The PMO role at Lanteris provides opportunities to lead a uniquely talented engineering team for the development of innovative mission solutions and to also serve in a leadership role with the factory to complete the design, production, test, launch, and in-orbit mission delivery to our customers. Missions range from large high power GEO stationary system for broadband communications, to high volume LEO constellations for national defense applications, to deep space explorations. Customers span commercial, civil, and defense industries.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, direct and control program activities to ensure the program objectives and the Customer requirements are achieved from pre-award program acquisition to program completion
• Partner with Business Development team to support business development activities for both commercial and government pursuits, including leading the team to define clear technical baselines for factory assessment and program costing
• Manage the technical baseline and Contractual requirements of the program and ensure that it satisfies the contractual obligations
• Exhibit professionalism and leadership as the primary focal point to the customer representatives
• Ensure integrity, responsiveness, and ethical business practices exist in all dealings with the Customer
• Manage core team personnel and assign program specific responsibilities to appropriate Subsystem organizations
• Manage program reserves and work with the program business manager to balance risks and opportunities.
• Perform program planning risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
• Coordinate program management and customer decisions with appropriate Subsystem organizations
• Conduct reviews, audits, trade studies, fact-findings, and establish corrective action plans and priorities to meet program objectives
• Provide timely and thorough program information as appropriate to executive management
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. A master's degree can be counted as two years of experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience including program management of large-scale engineering/manufacturing programs
• Ability to travel in support of customer, supplier, or business development meetings (approximately 10-15% travel)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with sound financial/business acumen
• Able and willing to be present in the local program office facilities in Palo Alto, CA, on a daily basis
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Current/active TS/SCI clearance
• Satellite program expertise
• Experience with USG proposal development (i.e., color reviews) and program execution
• Knowledge of commercial space architectures, missions, systems, requirements, and acquisition methods required and be able to strategize unique solutions.
• Experience leading (dotted line) a matrixed team of engineering professionals in solving challenging problems and working on complex systems

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $163,000.00 - $271,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
