Job description

Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting the United States Steel Commercial Operations organization on Customer Experience projects related to existing core business as well as newly developing business needs. The interaction with the customer and multiple functional groups within the corporation provides the Management Associate candidate with a well-rounded basic knowledge of the order-to-cash process from beginning to end.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists Customer Experience Managers and Customer Experience Analysts with administrative tasks relevant to order-to-cash process.
  • Assists in order entry through OMT system, while ensuring sales order report is compared to and validated against the customer purchase orders.
  • Supports review of inventory and material flow to meet customer supply requirements.
  • Communicates with customers, producing facilities, and technical personnel on various issues including order entry, production, inventory management etc.
  • Assists in the follow-up the production of orders to ensure on-time delivery to the customer.
  • Maintains customer forecasted releases through demand planner forecast system.
  • Provides work instructions and priorities to processing partners for timely finishing of material for delivery.
  • Assist in releasing material and ensure delivery based on requirements from the customer.
Requirements:
  • Business degree in business administration, communications, supply chain management or closely related field.
  • Zero to two years' experience in customer experience or closely related function.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt to and master web-based support applications.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and data manipulation skills, be a problem solver with a high attention to detail and have the ability to project plan and prioritize workload.
  • Familiar with internet research, utilizing common search engines.
  • Comfort in presenting to various levels of management in the organization.
  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic who takes initiative and is excited to learn more about United States Steel and the automotive Industry.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Commuter remote structure.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer.
  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
