Position Purpose
Support students wiht emotional disabilities in both upper and lower school inclusion programming. Support with academics; providing accomodations and lesson support. Implement behavior plans, manage behaviors, assist with social skills and inclusion throughout the school environment. Assist with arrival and dismissal. Physically demanding position. Must obtain CPI training (during work hours) and be able to physically manage/restrain if needed. Flexibility within the program to work with a variety of student needs.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred
  2. Experience working with children/students
  3. Experience assisting in program implementation
  4. Ability to work with professional staff
  5. Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications

General Responsibilities
  1. Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings
  2. Needs to assist with behavior plan implementation
  3. Provide academic support as needed
  4. Monitoring for attention, work completion and social navigation
  5. Perform duties as assigned by school administration
  6. Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.
