Overview:

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and talented candidate to join our team supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) Case Management Systems Office (CMSO) in its modernization effort for one of its mission-critical applications that is used by all U.S. district, appellate, and bankruptcy courts' staff members and external stakeholders. CMSO has a mature agile practice using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the AOUSC mission.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Task Lead/PM with a long track record of successfully managing projects with similar operations scope. The Task Lead/PM is responsible for supervising all personnel, managing senior-level customer relationships, and overseeing delivery driving process and quality improvement. The successful candidate will be a change agent, not content with the status quo. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role. The role requires the ability to successfully juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent work streams. The successful candidate will thrive on the challenge and help the teams achieve a high degree of operations maturity.

The Task Lead/PM will execute the following responsibilities:

  • Provide project management of the tasks under this effort and manage contractor personnel on three (3) different teams.
  • Implement Agile project management methodologies and practices to support the delivery of all tasks included in the SOW.
  • Incorporate Scrum industry best practices framework into the Agile project management practices for the Human Centered Design (HCD), User Experience (UX), business analysis, and product backlog creation tasks outlined in the SOW.
  • Provide bi-weekly Agile reports (sprint reports, backlog reporting, sprint burndown charts, spring retrospective reports).
  • Provide a Monthly Status Report (MSR).
  • Working with Government Contracting Officer (CO), the contract-level Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and/or Government management personnel and client agency representatives.
  • Effectively manage personnel while being accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all contractual items.
  • Operating within client guidance, contractual limitations, and company business and policy directives.
  • Serving as focal point of contact with client regarding program activities. Ensures that all required resources including manpower, production standards, computer time, and facilities are available for program implementation.
  • Managing program consisting of multiple projects including project identification, design, development, and delivery.
  • Conferring with team to provide technical advice and to assist with problem resolution.
  • Crafting and enforcing quality control programs.
  • Leading projects that involve the successful management of multi-functional teams.
  • Organizing, directing, and coordinating the planning and production of all contract support activities.
  • With day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
  • Formulating and enforcing work standards, assigning contractor schedules, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, procedures, and goals of the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with both the Government Leads, support staff, as well as staff from other vendors.
  • Provide the government leads with analysis research support to help them make decisions by engaging all relevant users.
  • Manage the timeliness, completeness, and quality of problem identification.
  • Monitor and report on agreed to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure teams' performance to ensure the project objectives are being met.
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g. Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, etc.) to provide accurate requirements into the MVP product backlog.
  • Create presentations, announcements and articles that describe the backlog activities for communication activities related to the modernization effort.
  • Develop fact sheets (in accordance with government provided guidance) describing specific topic areas related to the development of the new digital case management product.
  • Develop Product Portfolio Management (PPM) team required artifacts (e.g. Snapshots, Timelines, RAID log updates).
  • Facilitate and / or participate in meetings, document meeting summaries, action items, and identify potential topics for future product write-ups. Provide meeting summaries to government within one (1) business day after the completed meeting.
  • Provide completion status and in-progress updates on all technical writing requirements received from the government within the monthly status reports.
  • Collaborate with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) to document dependencies between backlog items by coordinating with other teams or users. The dependencies may be technical constraints as well.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7 to 10+ years' experience in IT Management including technology solutions delivery, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • The Task Lead must possess bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • The Task Lead must possess a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
