Job description

JOB PURPOSE:
The Outreach & Engagement Specialist will be responsible for the recruitment of clients to the
Family and Youth Service and Support program through outreach to community partners. The
Outreach & Engagement Specialist will also participate in peer-to-peer communication,
presentations, and other outreach mediums as needed. This program services 12 Texas
counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty,
Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller, and Wharton counties. This position supports rural
geographical regions and travel is involved. This is a grant-funded program.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, evaluates, and implements community outreach events.
Establishes and maintains partnerships with external stakeholders.
Represents Endeavors to interested agencies, organizations, and community groups on
community outreach and prevention/intervention through information sharing and creating
partnerships.
Represents Endeavors on interagency working groups and at stakeholder engagement
events professionally.
Advises the Director and Program Manager, on interpreting, developing, and analyzing
outreach strategy and program activities related to stakeholder engagement and the
challenges faced by individuals and employees as it relates to program engagement.
Facilitates weekly referral and outreach meetings with intake staff.
In collaboration with Marketing, develops targeted/specialized communication and
information-sharing strategies to facilitate effective relationships and address negative
attitudes/perceptions, as appropriate.
Prepares outreach and community involvement reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Demonstrates Exceptional customer service, in Everything you do, by placing the child,
family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better
lives for themselves, their families, and their communities."
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Services, Communication, or other related
field.
