Faculty Family Medicine Assistant Residency Director Opening in IA
Located in Waterloo, Iowa
About the Position
A Family Medicine Physician is sought to serve as Assistant Program Director within a long-standing Family Medicine Residency Program. This role offers a unique blend of teaching, leadership, and clinical care—without RVU pressure.
  • Assistant Program Director role within established residency program (40+ years)
  • Teach and mentor residents in inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Oversee resident education, evaluations, and performance
  • Advisor to approximately 5 residents
  • Deliver 10–12 didactic lectures annually
  • Lead 1–2 quality improvement initiatives per year
  • OB optional

Schedule
Balanced weekly structure (half-day sessions):
  • 4 patient care sessions
  • 2–3 resident clinic supervision sessions
  • 1 procedure clinic
  • 2 administrative sessions (1 protected)
