Position Summary
Play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nurses at one of the largest nursing colleges in the country! We're seeking creative and motivated nursing professionals that truly enjoy sharing their industry experience with future nurses. Join us at ECPI University and make a real impact where it matters!
The Director of Nursing for the RN program is responsible for the administration, planning, implementation and evaluation of the RN program.
Responsibilities
Students
  • Oversee the admission, academic progression and graduation of students.
  • Evaluate student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives.

Faculty
  • Interview and select nursing faculty who are qualified and contribute to the program and student outcomes.
  • Supervise and evaluate program faculty including in-class reviews of each instructor.
  • Orient new faculty to policies and procedures of the University and the program.

Program
  • Provide evaluation and feedback to the program on course materials, current changes in practice, standards of practice, and student accomplishment of course and program outcomes.
  • Plan and lead program Advisory Board meetings.

Professional Development
  • Commit to ongoing professional development through continued education programs and academic courses.
  • Ensure program faculty remain current in trends, issues and practices in the field, as well as effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.

Qualifications
Education/Credentials
  • Masters degree in Nursing from an institutional accredited school (either ACEN, CCNE, etc).
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in the State in which the program is licensed

Experience
  • Minimum of two years of registered nursing experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a full-time faculty member in an approved nursing program
  • Minimum of two years full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse
