We are recruiting an MSN with prior teaching experience to lead our Elyria, Ohio school as the Associate Director of Nursing. This is a full-time position reporting to the Dean of Nursing and is a member of the Nursing Program Leadership Team. The Associate Director of Nursing is responsible for maintaining the components related to the aspects of the curriculum and providing an optimum learning environment.

KEY Responsibilities

• Knowledge of nursing skills; lab equipment, teaching and instruction methods and practices; record keeping procedures

• Provide training to faculty, staff, and students pertaining to clinicals

• Develop relationships with current students to be able to assist them with questions and educational needs.

• Perform human resources management for assigned staff, including interviewing, hiring, development, review, performance correction, attendance, time off, and possibly termination

• Maintain health and safety precautions for faculty, staff, and students

• Ensure all OBN regulations related to the class, lab and clinical experience are adhered to by faculty

This is a full time, daytime Monday-Friday job with a regular schedule and benefits. This job is performed daily on campus and may require travel to clinical locations. This position is an administrative role with occasional teaching components.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, Masters or higher
  • Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio
  • Five or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
  • Two or more years of prior didactic teaching experience in the classroom (clinicals can't count towards the two-year requirement)
