Site Coordinator
SUMMARY: The Site Coordinator will lead program implementation and execution within a specific school to ensure all stakeholders have an exceptional experience. The Site Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and sustaining effective relationships with key site contacts including principals and or superintendents, school district and/or agency staff, to ensure successful program implementation and site engagement for the Extended School Program. The Site Coordinator will facilitate the site's programming and cultivate relationships with youth leaders, parents, students and families. The Site Coordinator provides youth leaders the necessary training, coaching and technical support to ensure successful implementation of the Extended School Program grant requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: % of Impact
1.Program Support: work directly with ESP coordinator to meet program goals; attend all monthly program meetings; uphold program policies; complete grant required documentation; 20%
2.Staff Support: assure staffing needs are met; recruit, hire, train and evaluate youth leaders, maintain clear expectations for staff; provide onsite training; uphold ESP program policies and procedures; 30%
3.Site Progam Leadership: ensure site safety and follow established ESP protocols; provide student and family support, promote the ESP program and recruit students and families; establish positive communication and relationships with site educators and principal; learn site academic and behavorial practices; establish and maintain positive communication practices with students and families. FT Site Coordinators: visit classrooms, learn homework needs, communicate and collaborate with school staff to meet the academic and behavorial needs of ESP students. 35%
4.Agency Mission Alignment: work towards program goals in alignment to agency goals, follow the mission and values of the MREC and promote MREC programs and services 10%
5.Professional Development: build and extend personal/professional knowledge through professional development activities within the agency and independently. 5%
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Represent MREC ESP program: participate in stakeholder meetings , may attend 21st Century grant events and conferences, and communicate a positive impression of MREC to staff, clients and stakeholders;
Other duties as assigned: Perform assignments and/or other duties as directed by the ESP Coordinator or Program Director.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Education: High School Diploma.
Experience: previous experience working with students and families; experience in educational programming or recreation; ability to collaborate with a variety of community partners; excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
Technology Skills: ability to use smart phone, standard office equipment, computer, internet, shared document platforms and programs; working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Professionalism: requires excellent customer services and interpersonal communication skills; able to effectively collaborate with diverse groups; works with an attention to detail and clear organization abilities; develop and deliver effective small group presentations for Youth Leaders and students; can handle last minute pressure and keeps calm when faced with competing demands and priorities
