• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to assess clients' substance abuse history and mental health status.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that holistically address addiction issues alongside any underlying mental health problems.
• Implement and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure that all aspects of clients' health are being addressed.
• Provide education and support to clients' families, encouraging their active participation in the recovery process.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records to uphold compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in mental health documentation.

This role focuses primarily on individuals who are undergoing treatment for substance abuse issues, many of whom may also experience co-occurring mental health disorders. You will engage with diverse clients, creating personalized strategies that resonate with their unique experiences and challenges as they embark on their recovery journeys. Your work will significantly contribute to improved patient outcomes and greater community wellness.

• A valid professional license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Specialized training or demonstrated experience in addiction counseling techniques and methodologies.
• Deep understanding of evidence-based practices applicable to substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders.
• Robust therapeutic and counseling skills; an ability to motivate clients towards positive change.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a knack for fostering teamwork.

While the minimum qualifications are essential, we are looking for candidates with previous experience in an outpatient treatment setting, particularly in substance abuse counseling. Familiarity with treatment modalities such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) will be advantageous. Moreover, experience working with families affected by addiction will greatly enhance your ability to serve our client population effectively.
