Position Summary:
River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver engaging, effective learning and communication initiatives that support team members and leaders across our footprint. This role contributes to the full employee lifecycle, including program design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The Training Specialist reports directly to the Crisis Service Program Manager.
Location/Schedule: 750 Hazel Street, Macon, GA - Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver training programs in collaboration with the Training & Development Manager, Compliance Specialist, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and key stakeholders. Identify training needs and provide development opportunities across the organization.
  • Learning & Marketing Support: Support the successful rollout and delivery of critical training initiatives across River Edge.
  • Information Management: Accurately track, monitor, and report learning data using the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure compliance and measure training effectiveness.
  • Engagement: Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement strategies. Plan and coordinate events, communications, and initiatives that promote River Edge as a premier service provider in our communities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organize training logistics and schedules; monitor attendance and report outcomes.
  • Deliver training sessions, including new hire onboarding (ability to stand for up to four hours at a time required).
  • Coordinate presentations to ensure all required trainings are offered and completed.
  • Maintain accurate training records in compliance with DBHDD and other regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and monitor compliance for CPI, CPR, First Aid, AED, and other required certifications, including annual renewals.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development Manager to ensure a positive new hire onboarding and team member experience.
  • Ensure training dates and documentation are accurately entered into the LMS, audit records and assessments for compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of training experience.
  • Familiarity with Crisis Services and IDD support needs.
  • Four (4) years of experience in healthcare documentation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Certifications in Safety Care, First Aid/CPR, and Positive Behavior Supports (preferred).
