Job description

Essential Duties

  • Arrive to work as scheduled, sign in for assigned shift, take breaks only as scheduled and sign out at the end of the shift.  Utilize UltiPro time management program/mobile app.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by responding appropriately and in accordance with standard operating procedures to any emergencies that may arise.  Report any unusual incidents or environmental hazards to the assigned job coach. 
  • Effectively function as a member of a team by employing team building skills such as using formal and informal communications systems effectively.  Interact in a manner demonstrating courtesy, patience, and self-control.  Employ effective listening techniques, and comply with job coach and supervisory requests.
  • Complete all assigned tasks that are issued by the job coach or by the work site supervisor.  Ask for clarification if unsure how to complete an assignment.  Types of assignments will vary depending upon assigned work site.  The tasks will be documented, explained, and reviewed as part of the intern training unit orientation process. 
  • Conform to the prescribed work attire of assigned work site.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Arc Broward by demonstrating appropriate customer service skills to all stakeholders at the work site.
