SUMMARY: The Business Development Director is responsible for overall management of strategic and operational sales and marketing activities related to assigned Business Unit revenue growth targets. Works with all other functional areas to support divisional operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for co-creating and achieving revenue budget for all responsible Business Unit sites including identifying gaps, actions and owners. Reviews volume input performance by account and develops, executes, and reports on actions to achieve goals.
  • Plays a leadership role, along with other Directors, in capability rationalization and new product development strategy across the Business Unit.
  • Supports direct sales of all unassigned customers.
  • Sets targets for assigned accounts including cross-sell opportunities associated with adjacent Business Units.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with external customer functional leadership.
  • Leverages the ATS CRM tool consistently to capture state of relationship, performance, and opportunity pipelines.
  • Formulates and executes sales strategies, projections and pricing strategies for responsible Business Unit.
  • Leads regular account meetings for assigned accounts.
  • Develops long term strategies to leverage Business Unit strengths and create on-going growth aligned with the goals of the company.
  • Manages development of proposals and contracts for Business Unit programs, including payment terms, pricing, work scope content, turn time commitments, rotable usage, schedules and alternate approach to out of work scope events.
  • Leads the contract approval and workflow processes for the administration of Business Unit work scopes for assigned accounts.
  • Oversees development and monitoring of the performance on customer scorecards and directs the activities necessary to maintain a preferred status based on the customer scoring system.
  • Visits assigned accounts regularly and delivers timely, quality, detailed, actionable trip reports to the Business Unit.
  • Oversees program review sessions with customer related to accessories discussing cost, schedule and technical performance. Coordinates with other Business Unit Sales Director and appropriate customer owner to deliver ATS enterprise reviews.
  • Directs the solutions and alternatives when customer conflicts arise.
  • Interacts with other departments in company as required. Regularly visits Business Units to connect with internal customers and develop understanding for the state of their business.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Some travel is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related technical/business field and a minimum ten (10) years' experience in a related field including a minimum of four (4) years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of extensive training and experience.
  • Experience within the aircraft market, with ties to major U.S. carriers.
  • Experience developing strategic plans and marketing strategies.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Compensation
The full base pay range for this position is $113,000.00 - $168,000.00 annually, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
