SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Fertility Preservation Program Coordinator would serve multiple roles. They would coordinate patient navigation to access fertility preservation services, and provide education to trainees, providers and patients about fertility preservation options to normalize, improve, and streamline the consultation process, and help with research project execution focused on fertility preservation. This will reduce the risk of missed fertility preservation opportunities and expedite the process. Additionally the coordinator would assist with community outreach to encourage patients and providers to use these services. They would work along side oncology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) colleagues to promote the importance of fertility preservation treatments to the community and strategic partners utilizing available health system resources (i.e. media relations, marketing).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

  • Six (6) months of previous fertility preservation coordination experience is required.

  • Three (3) years of nursing experience.

  • Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • A degree or additional training in Social Work would be beneficial.

  • Hem/Onc background preferred.
