Job description

Overnight Program Assistant
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday | 10:15 PM – 8:15 AM
Ethan Allen Workforce Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dependable Program Assistant to provide overnight support for children with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in a residential setting. This position is covering a leave of absence and offers the potential for long-term or permanent placement within one of the residences on campus.
As a Program Assistant, you will play an important role in helping maintain a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment while promoting the well-being and independence of the children in our care.
Paid Orientation Required
August 3–14 | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Attendance at orientation is required prior to beginning the overnight schedule.
Program Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support residents throughout the overnight shift
  • Respond to resident needs as they arise during the night
  • Complete laundry and light housekeeping tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment
  • Complete required documentation and daily reports
  • Follow individualized support plans and program guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members during shift changes
  • Ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must successfully complete the client's OPWDD screening and background clearance process, including fingerprinting
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and meet the physical requirements of the position
