Position Summary (Development Assistant | Fundraising | Administrative Support)

The Development Assistant provides critical administrative support to the fundraising and development team while helping maintain efficient daily operations within the Our House Foundation.

This role serves as the operational backbone of the department by ensuring donor information is accurate, donations are processed correctly, acknowledgements are completed promptly, and development records remain organized and up to date.


The Development Assistant also supports fundraising communications and assists with social media content and community engagement efforts.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, professional, and passionate about nonprofit work and community impact.

Required Schedule

Part-Time: 28 hours per week

Requirements:Gift Processing & Donor Acknowledgement
  • Accurately process and enter donations including checks, online gifts, and in-kind contributions
  • Generate and distribute donor acknowledgement and thank-you letters in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate donor and contribution records
Database & Financial Support
  • Maintain and update donor records within Raiser’s Edge NXT
  • Enter deposits and assist with financial tracking within MIP
  • Generate reports and assist with development-related recordkeeping
Administrative Support
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Development Department
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and organizing supplies
  • Support day-to-day fundraising and office operations
Social Media & Community Engagement
  • Assist with social media posts and community outreach efforts
  • Support fundraising campaigns, events, and donor engagement initiatives
  • Assist with promotional and communication efforts as assigned
