Overview

Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions business area is looking for an Engineering Program Manager focused on coordinating key strategic R&D initiatives across multiple divisions, leveraging strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. To successfully deliver on these strategic initiatives you will define, establish, and manage endtoend release planning and stakeholder enagagement.

In this role, you will engage with stakeholders across the Autonomous Solutions Business Area-spanning multiple divisions (NovAtel Positioning, Septentrio Positioning, Mining, Aerospace and Defense, Core Autonomy, and Agriculture) and crossfunctional product teams including Marketing, Engineering, and Operations.

You will collaborate closely with Technical Leads from each division to define, align on, and share solutions that enable success. Strong project management discipline, stakeholder alignment, and crossorganizational coordination are critical to success in this role.

As a newly created position with high visibility and regular exposure to senior and executive leadership, you will be accountable for planning, scoping, and delivering successful outcomes across the Autonomous Solutions Business Area. All activities will be executed in accordance with Hexagon's worldclass project management practices and product development processes.

Responsibilities

As a Engineering Program Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead R&D improvement initiatives that involve multiple divisions within the Autonomous Solutions Business Area.
    • Support technical leaders, stakeholders and delegates in strategy, team coordination, project scope and all deliverables
    • Accountable for achieving program objectives including quality, cost and timely introduction
  • Responsible for following and championing the use of Hexagon processes
  • Continuous monitoring and controlling of project issues, risks, schedules and costs
  • Regular communications with all project stakeholders including generating program and project status updates
  • Lead interface for all contractors engaged for outsourced work packages
  • Keep concise meeting minutes and manage action items from inception to completion.
  • Apply key skills of project management including planning, execution, monitoring and control of project budgets, schedule, risk, resources, scope and more.
Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of combined product development, project management, and people management experience
  • Practical knowledge of project management and change management principles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Project Management Tool knowledge (MS365, including CoPilot)
  • Must be able to achieve Controlled Goods security status
