Work you'll do

We are seeking a Mission Solutions Engineer to support the design, integration, modernization, and sustainment of mission-focused IT solutions across enterprise and operational environments. This role works across technical and functional teams to translate mission needs into practical, secure, and scalable solutions spanning infrastructure, networking, virtualization, cloud-enabled platforms, cybersecurity, and service delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong technical judgment with the ability to coordinate stakeholders, develop implementation plans, and support solution delivery from requirements through transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, integration, testing, implementation, and sustainment of mission IT solutions.
  • Analyze operational and technical requirements and translate them into solution recommendations, engineering tasks, and delivery plans.
  • Contribute to architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure modernization, and technology refresh efforts across enterprise environments.
  • Support solutions involving one or more of the following: networks, virtualization/VDI, cloud or hybrid cloud platforms, cybersecurity controls, end-user computing, systems administration, or platform integration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation such as implementation plans, standard operating procedures, design artifacts, test plans, risk logs, and transition materials.
  • Coordinate with engineers, operators, cybersecurity personnel, project managers, and mission stakeholders to align technical delivery with operational priorities.
  • Assist with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance improvement of systems and services in production and pre-production environments.
  • Support compliance, accreditation, security hardening, and risk management activities as required.
  • Provide technical input to planning, reporting, status reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering management, technology delivery, or program leadership
  • 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, technical leads, or delivery managers
  • 5+ years of experience leading system implementation, modernization, or systems integration programs across multiple workstreams
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery, release planning, backlog management, and program governance
  • Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Active Secret security clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Experience in engineering management, program delivery, or technology transformation
  • Experience supporting defense, government, or other mission-driven environments
    • Experience with enterprise architecture, infrastructure modernization, or technology integration initiatives.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $151,800 to $253,000.
