We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead and oversee our delivery team. In this role, you will manage our drivers and installers, and will work closely with the warehouse, operations, and sales teams to ensure appliances are delivered safely, efficiently, and professionally while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Team Management

  • L/M/A (Lead/Manage/Hold Accountable)
  • Hire, train, and supervise delivery drivers, helpers, and installers
  • Ensure Safe & Damage-Free Deliveries
  • Maintain and enforce delivery team productivity standards and hold each team member accountable, with the goal of all qualifying for Productivity Bonuses
  • Handle performance issues, attendance, and disciplinary actions
  • Conduct Weekly Delivery Department Meetings and participate in Operations Manager Meetings
  • Perform Daily Trip Reviews with Delivery and Install Teams
  • Fix problem causes and prevent future issues - donโ€™t just put out fires

Logistics & Scheduling

  • Plan and schedule daily delivery routes using our scheduling program to minimize drive time and maximize stops
  • Follow-up for cancellations, re-delivers, or urgent adds
  • Coordinate with warehouse on order staging and load sequence
  • Manage fleet - vehicles, maintenance schedules, and compliance (registration, insurance, DOT if applicable)
  • Executing on our company delivery fulfillment goals (including gathering the resources and working with the teams to achieve this)
  • Manage the team schedule and control hours

Customer Experience
  • Ride along (at least one day a week) with delivery / install teams to instruct, encourage, and ensure compliance to company delivery standards
  • Collect and act on delivery feedback
  • Resolve delivery complaints/issues

Warehouse Coordination
  • Work with purchasing, receiving, and sales/project teams to confirm product availability before scheduling
  • Verify orders are pulled, staged, and loaded correctly
  • Flag and correct discrepancies between whatโ€™s been pulled for delivery and what's on the manifest

Delivery Execution
  • Ensure all orders are scanned out and properly loaded onto delivery vehicles in accordance with the manifest and loading plan
  • Oversee proper handling and protection of appliances during transit and placement
  • Confirm delivery completion and customer sign-off
  • Manage job site access and coordinate with PAG Project Manager and GC or Property for multi-unit/builder deliveries.
  • Attend job-site meetings for projects as needed
  • Leads by example and is willing to jump on a delivery truck when staffing or scheduling challenges arise

Builder Coordination
  • Collaborate with PAG Project Manager and client to coordinate phased deliveries for construction schedules โ€” work around construction timelines
  • Communicate with GCs and property managers on access, staging areas, and elevator reservation
  • Handle bulk deliveries to multi-unit projects with accuracy on unit assignments

Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete Daily Delivery/Install Tracker
  • Maintain delivery logs and customer signatures
  • Finalize delivery invoices and send them to customers
  • Report recurring issues (damage patterns, access problems, scheduling conflicts) to the Operations Manager/involved parties, and help to find solutions for them

Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safe lifting and handling practices
  • Ensure proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on job-sites
  • Ensure drivers are licensed and vehicles are road-legal
  • Manage workers' comp claims and incident reports

Qualifications:

Experience
  • 3โ€“5 years in delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience required
  • Experience with appliances, furniture, or large/fragile goods preferred
  • Builder or multi-unit delivery experience a plus

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver's license; clean driver abstract
  • Forklift certification a plus

Skills
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and decision-making skills; ability to balance strategy and execution of various activities.

  • Ability to prioritize the most important tasks with time restrictions.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to oversee and assist with heavy appliance handling
  • Must be able to lift 100 pounds (and occasionally more)
  • Comfortable on job sites and in warehouse environments
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Fine motor skills - being able to operate a keyboard and mouse efficiently
  • Visual Acuity - have clear near vision for reading computer screens and blueprints
  • Hearing Ability - able to hear and understand conversations in person and on the telephone

Other
  • Successful passing of background check and reference check

Work Schedule:

5 Days a week with work shifts between Monday - Saturday (7am - 6pm). As this is a position that serves retail customers this may change based on our customers needs as we go forward.

Compensation:

This position is a salaried position. Salary ranges from $60,000 - $65,000 a year, DOE.
