Position Summary
Urban Alliance Baltimore is seeking an experienced youth development professional to serve as a Program Coordinator supporting high school students participating in paid internship and apprenticeship pathways.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality program implementation, managing a student caseload through structured coaching and case management, facilitating professional development workshops, and maintaining strong partnerships with employers, schools, and families.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned students and workplace mentors, reporting to the Program Manager. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, and comfortable upholding clear expectations in professional settings while providing structured support to students.

Student Case Management & Coaching
โข Manage and support a cohort of high school students participating in paid internships or apprenticeship programs
โข Monitor students' professional, academic, and workplace performance
โข Conduct structured 1:1 coaching sessions focused on workplace readiness, professional growth, and post-secondary planning
โข Support students in meeting program benchmarks, including attendance, workplace expectations, hour requirements, and credential completion (as applicable)
โข Provide individualized guidance on resume development, LinkedIn profiles, interview preparation, and college or career pathways
โข Maintain timely and accurate case notes and documentation
โข Implement performance improvement plans as necessary to ensure students are held accountable and given opportunities to grow
Workshop Facilitation & Workforce Training
โข Facilitate professional development workshops before and throughout student work placements
โข Deliver a polished and curated curriculum focused on workplace skills, communication, accountability, and career exploration
โข Create engaging, structured learning environments that reinforce high expectations
โข Foster a collaborative environment that allows students to learn from each other and develop positive relationships
โข Debrief workplace experiences and help students translate challenges into learning opportunities
Employer & School Relationship Management
โข Serve as the primary liaison for assigned employer partners, workplace mentors, and school staff
โข Support mentors in structuring student work plans and professional development opportunities
โข Conduct bi-weekly check-ins and structured site visits (as assigned)
โข Facilitate performance evaluations
โข Troubleshoot and mediate workplace conflicts
โข Maintain professional relationships with school staff, families, and community partners
โข Represent Urban Alliance at recruitment events and community meetings as needed
Program Implementation & Data Management
โข Track and monitor student attendance, workplace hours, and performance benchmarks
โข Document student progress in organizational data systems
โข Collaborate with the Program Manager and evaluation team to respond to data requests
โข Ensure compliance with program requirements and reporting timelines
Qualifications
โข Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
โข At least two years of experience in youth development, education, workforce development, or a related field
โข Experience providing case management, advising, or coaching to high school students
โข Teaching or group facilitation experience required
โข Strong relationship-building skills with youth and adult stakeholders
โข Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including conflict mediation
โข Strong organizational and time-management skills
โข Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
At Urban Alliance one of our core values is taking care of each other, and this includes offering competitive benefits, paid time off, and options for remote work. The salary for this position is between $51,000 and $58,000 depending on experience. In addition to having paid time off between December 25th and January 1st, you can accrue up to 18 days (about 2 and a half weeks) of paid time off (PTO) plus 10 paid federal holidays, 5 sick days, as well as birthday and diversity paid holidays. After 3 years of employment, additional PTO days are provided. Depending on the calendar, additional paid closure days and early closure days are established each year.
