Dewberry, an award-winning multidisciplinary design firm, is currently seeking Landscape Architecture Intern from August 2026 to December 2026 to work in our Baltimore, MD office supporting our landscape architecture team. Our clients include architecture firms, selected private developers, municipal governments, Fortune 500 companies and non-profit agencies.
The Landscape Design Intern will work with a dynamic team of creative professionals, assisting with all aspects of our unique practice. Our Landscape Design Interns are integrated into our team and will have the opportunity to assist on projects currently in various phases of the design process and interact with a wide range of disciplines within the firm. We are looking for ambitious, creative, and innately curious individuals to contribute to our team. If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you!

Responsibilities
  • Assist in completion of landscape design projects.
  • Complete tasks and follow instruction provided by supervisor
  • Assist in drafting in collaboration with the team.
  • Assist in preparing landscape architecture project plan sets.
  • Make corrections to plans based on redlines provided.
  • Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work.
  • Design and detailing in AutoCAD.
  • Attend project and client meetings with design professionals.
  • Interact with and be a representative of the company with clients and contractors.
  • Assist with grant writing and resiliency projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Working towards a master's degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Lumion, Rhino and associated design software..
  • Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and meticulous with details.

Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:
