Description of role:
Rock River Valley Blood Center is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Coordinator to provide administrative support to the CEO, leadership team, Board of Directors and Board committees. This full-time position plays an important role in coordinating meetings, maintaining records, supporting office operations and special projects, and ensuring sensitive information is handled with discretion and integrity.
Key responsibilities include coordinating calendars, travel, correspondence, reports and presentations; preparing Board and committee agendas, meeting materials, packets and minutes; maintaining corporate records and organizational files; coordinating conference rooms, meetings and special events; and providing administrative support across departments. The Administrative Coordinator will manage multiple priorities, work independently and use sound judgment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma/GED required; associate degree or additional education in business, administration or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of three years of administrative or office support experience
  • Experience supporting senior leadership, a Board of Directors or committees preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and take initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees, Board members, community leaders, vendors, donors and visitors

Work Schedule:
Full-time position working Monday-Thursday (32 hours per week) 7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm.
Salary:
Hourly starting range for this position begins at $21.00/hr. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
