Job description

Purpose Kids is a dynamic full service childcare center in Channelview, TX. Our goal is to provide quality childcare to families with children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old. This includes infant, toddler, and pre-school care, as well as before- and after-school services for school aged children.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Childcare professional to join our team! This position is a salary position for an Schooler's Program Coordinator. The ideal candidate is passionate about nurturing and caring for children, and is creative and flexible. 

Responsibilities Include: 
  • Supervise school age teachers. 
  • Developing and implementing after school programs.
  • Plan and implement a variety of extra-curricular activities for after school.
  • Work and communicate well with parents and community.
  • Implement student discipline in coordination with site administration.
  • Work collaboratively with the Director to ensure safety of students and staff.
  • Prepare and check weekly attendance sheets and CACFP forms.
  • Review and maintain schoolers supply and budget.
  • Backup driver for routes

Qualifications and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of basic child development principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to de-escalate child’s behavior
  • Ability to develop lesson plan based on provided curriculum

Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Required)
  • 2 Years working in Out-of-School Program (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures and populations.

License/Certification:
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
