What You’ll Do as a Lab CoordinatorLaboratory & Clinical Support
  • Perform laboratory-related duties to support patient care and clinic operations.
  • Assist providers and clinical staff with patient care activities under appropriate supervision.
  • Ensure accurate collection, processing, and handling of laboratory specimens.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and laboratory procedures.
Patient Care & Service
  • Promote a professional, patient-centered experience through courteous and compassionate interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding laboratory procedures and clinic processes.
  • Support patient flow and assist in coordinating care activities within the clinic.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
Documentation & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Accurately document laboratory activities and patient information within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Support clinic operations through effective scheduling, coordination, and workflow management.
  • Assist with inventory management and maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment.
Collaboration & Teamwork
  • Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, laboratory personnel, and administrative staff.

QualificationsMinimum Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
  • Previous healthcare or clinic experience preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at the time of hire.
  • One of the following certifications is required at the time of hire:
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
    • Phlebotomy Certification
