A Day in the Lifeย 

Program Coordination:ย 

  • Coordinate and oversee the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and Senior Congregate Program.ย ย 
  • Ensure the smoothย operationsย of the programs.ย 
  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with partners.ย 

Compliance and Standards:ย 

  • Ensure compliance withย Departmentย of Human Services (DHS) and Regional Food Bank standards for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and Senior Congregate Program.ย 
  • Work with partners toย maintainย 100% CSFP distribution.ย 
  • Aid in developing program strategies and plans.ย 
  • Accountable for training new program partners.ย 
  • Coordinate in-person and/or virtual training sessions for the program.ย 
  • Arrange DHS Civil Rights training for partners. Distribute program materials.ย 

Monitoring and Evaluation:ย 

  • Conduct annual, bi-annualย or asย neededย site visits to partner locations. Check compliance withย Departmentย of Human Services and the Regional Food Bank standards.
  • Place internal monthly orders for program partners.ย 
  • Partner with operations to ensure quality control and inventory for commodity box programs.ย 

Regulatory Updates:ย 

  • Stay informed about changes in federal regulations.ย 
  • Update program partners,ย policiesย and materials as needed.ย 

Administrative Duties:ย 

  • Coordinate the creation of new program partner accounts in Navision.
  • Establish delivery details between the departments involved.ย 

Helpful Functions:ย 

  • Aid in research on senior food insecurity programs and services.
  • Maintain involvement withย appropriate senior-specificย groups and organizations.
  • Work with regional food pantries to improve services for seniors within the community.
  • Assistย with teamย projects asย assigned.
  • Promote senior programs at various community events.
  • Program presentations to new partners and community groups as needed.ย 

Cross Training & Team Engagementย 

  • Share best practices between Moore Food & Resource Center (FRC) and Food for Senior team to improve program delivery.ย 
  • Facilitate joint training sessions to ensure both teams comprehend each other's workflows and responsibilities.ย 
  • Developย & maintainย mutual resources and toolkits for efficient case management and reporting.ย 

Required Qualificationsย 

How you have spent your time:ย 

  • Earning a bachelorโ€™s degree or gaining at least 4 years of relevant experience coordinating programs or equivalent combination of education,ย trainingย and experience.ย

  • Proficiencyย in common office applications and database software (e.g.,ย Microsoft Office, CRM systems).ย 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a driving record that meets organizational standards.ย 
  • Commitment to advancing the mission of ending hunger.ย

  • Working in a nonprofit environment or communityย focused organization focused on coordinating programs or a closely related field for at least 5 years.ย 
  • Proven experience as either a client or volunteer in a food pantryย settingย demonstratingย direct knowledge of the services and operations involved.ย 
  • Solid comprehension of federal programming related to foodย assistanceย or similar initiatives.ย 

Your Environmentย 

Minimal exposure to extreme weather changes and humidity/moistureย relativeย to atmospheric condition variations. Includes some exposure to extreme summer and winter temperatures as well as rain, sleet, and snow.ย Possible exposureย to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessiveย noiseย and/or vibrations.ย Work occasionally performed in an industrial environment with various hazards and noise exposure.ย May involve occasional travel (up to 25%) for meetings,ย trainingย or assignments for up to one week per month, typically allowing return home nightly. The job also requires availability for rotating onย call schedule, occasional unscheduled callouts and extended workdays and/or workweeks.
