Job Title: Site Coordinator - School Age Childcare  Program

Hours:  Part-time, non-exempt 

salary:   starting at $19.00/hour

School Year only, M-F 6:15 AM - 9:00AM and Tuesday and Thursday 2:15PM - 5:45 PM

Department:  School Age

Reports to:  School Age Director 

The purpose of this job description is to report the functions, requirements, working conditions, and office responsibilities of the Before School Site Coordinator. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

The Site Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision in the  Before School and After School Program and assisting the School Age Director in providing activities that support youth development, guidance and success. Specific duties include but are not limited to:


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and establish programs and activities that are age appropriate and assist children in their growth.

Oversee the day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.

Ensure that children are encouraged to participate in a variety of centers/activities and receive instruction and feedback to develop skills.

Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of children.

Maintain children's files and incident and injury reports. 

Supervision

Allocate and monitor work assigned to part-time staff.

Oversee proper record keeping and reporting.

Ensure productive and effective performance by Before School Staff.

Maintain liaison and communication with parents and schools.

Establish an atmosphere that encourages parent involvement.

Ensure that EEC Regulations and health and safety protocols are being followed.

Must ensure that program areas are clean and sanitized before member's arrival and after their departure.

Monitor member check in and attendance.

Requirements

 MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:   

Education / Experience:  Must meet EEC requirements for Site Coordinator. Requirements are: Must be at least 20 years of age. Must meet one of the following:

  1.  Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, ECE, Elementary Education, Child Guidance, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Physical Education, Recreation, Child Psychology, The Arts, Social Work, Sociology, Childcare and 6 months experience working with School Age Children. Or
  2. Bachelor's Degree in any field of Associates Degree in field listed above and have nine months experience working with School Age Children or
  3.  High School diploma and one-year experience working with School Age Children.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

CPR and First Aid Certification

Knowledge of Youth Development

  Minimum one-year management experience in a school age setting or related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; above average interpersonal skills 

Honesty, integrity and operating as a team player are critical to this organization

  Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality of critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.

  Understand, interpret, and apply EEC regulations, Board of Health regulations and departmental policies and procedures. 

Ability to work well independently and in a team environment 

Ability to balance multiple assignments and adjust direction and priorities within fast paced and multi-faceted work environment 

Report to scheduled shift consistently and on time.

  Follow policies, procedures and rules of the organization.

  Maintain high program standards.
