Length of Work Year 180-200 Employment Type Part Time Job Description / Essential Elements: Print General Responsibilities Under the general direction of the REACH Afterschool Program Manager, the REACH Program Site Coordinator will plan and carry out the day-to-day operations of each local site. Responsibilities include student recruitment and retention, parent communications, school staff liaison, attendance, coordinating and delivering instructional activities (homework help, intervention, and enrichment), and other daily operational responsibilities Assignment: This position is temporary, and will work as needed during the 2026-27 School Year

The position will serve the Wahkiakum School District. The anticipated work schedule will be: up to 22 hours per week during the regular school year and up to 30 hours per week during the four-week summer program. This position will start September 28th, 2026.

Regular attendance required: This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment. Essential Functions/Other Functions Essential Functions: Develop student recruitment and retention plans. Design and develop the site afterschool program with the assistance of the Program Coordinator.

Deliver program curriculum (homework help, intervention, and enrichment). Coordinate local snacks and transportation. Work with project and school partners to develop projects, special events, and family activities as described in the grant.

Provide training and leadership for site assistants and volunteers. Be the liaison between the regular school staff and the REACH program. Meet with Program Manager weekly.

Participate in program staff meetings including those with the local Advisory Council at least three times annually. Assist the Program Coordinator with the collection of data. Participate in program trainings and meetings as requested.

Maintain program records and complete project reports as required. Other Functions: Other duties as assigned. Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher.

School-based experience working with students, staff, administrators, and parents. Experience creating reports and presentations. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Three to five years of experience as a K-12 certified teacher.

Knowledge of Washington State Learning Standards in English Language Arts and mathematics. Experience working with at-risk children. Experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, particularly in reading and mathematics.

Knowledge and understanding of social and educational systems and agencies in Klickitat County. Working Conditions/Employment Requirements Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: School-based setting. Regular attendance during scheduled work hours.

Flexible schedule to include some evenings and Saturdays. Employment Requirements: Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
