Job description

RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Program Manager in our Troy, MI facility!


The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the development and launching of automotive exterior plastics, ensuring alignment with company vision and customer expectations. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, budget oversight, cashflow forecasting, and effective communication with all key stakeholders.


What you Will do in Your Role

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with customers, ensuring open communication and early identification and escalation of issues. Strive to be considered a "Preferred Partner" by customers, creating value in their system and understanding downstream risks.

Project Performance/Profitability:

  • Owner of Program Financials from RFQ through Gate 6. Encourage Cross Functional Team to strive for incremental increases in profitability and drive team focus on key opportunities that can influence business stability.
  • Manage Program Cashflow โ€“ Ensure that the team is aligned to the schedule and targets and drive activities accordingly. Escalate issues that put the cash forecast schedule at risk.
  • Initiate continuous improvement opportunities and service strategies with the customers that help drive efficiency improvements to our plants.
  • Understand and address actions from customers that decrease or destroy value for RESRG Automotive. Optimize process interactions and identify ways to reduce non-value add work.

Risk Management & Problem Solving:

  • Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to minimize impact on program delivery.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Lead the coordination of multiple related projects, often involving cross-functional teams, from initiation to completion.
  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and customers.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5-7 years in automotive industry
  • 3-5 years experience in a Program Management role
  • Negotiation skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with interior or exterior trim in automotive
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
